Hoonved dishwasher makes loud grinding or rattling noises during wash.

Safety first: Disconnect power and wait for moving parts to stop before inspecting inside.

• Check spray arms: Spin the upper and lower spray arms by hand. Ensure they rotate freely and do not hit racks or dishes. Remove any obstructions.
• Inspect for loose items: Look for cutlery or small items that may have fallen into the sump or onto the heating element.
• Access wash pump: Remove the lower panel and check the pump for loose mounting bolts or brackets. Tighten as needed.
• Check pump internals: If grinding persists, remove the pump cover and inspect the impeller and housing for damage or foreign objects. Replace the pump if bearings are noisy or impeller is damaged.
