Possible Causes
Clogged spray arms, Dirty filters, Low water temperature, Insufficient water level, Worn circulation pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off power before removing internal parts.
- Clean filters: Remove and thoroughly clean all filters under hot water.
- Clean spray arms: Remove upper and lower spray arms. Rinse and clear blocked jets with a toothpick. Ensure they rotate freely when reinstalled.
- Check detergent and salt: Use quality dishwasher detergent and ensure the salt reservoir is filled if you have hard water. Adjust rinse aid as per Hoover manual.
- Check water temperature: Ensure the hot water supply (if used) is at least 50–60°C, or allow the machine to heat properly by not opening the door mid-cycle.
- Verify water level and pump: If water level is low or spray arms barely move, investigate fill issues or a weak circulation pump.
