Possible Causes
Partially blocked inlet valve, Restricted flow meter, Faulty pressure switch calibration, Low mains water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before dismantling any parts.
- Check water pressure: Ensure the household water pressure is adequate. If other taps are weak, contact a plumber.
- Clean inlet filters: Remove the inlet hose from the tap and the dishwasher. Clean both end filters thoroughly to restore flow.
- Inspect side water matrix (if fitted): Some Hoover models use a side water distributor/flow meter. Remove the side panel and check for scale or debris in the transparent water matrix. Rinse with hot water and descaler if necessary.
- Check pressure switch hose: Ensure the thin hose to the pressure switch is not kinked or blocked, which can misread the water level.
- Test fill level: Run a cycle and, after filling, open the door. The water should just cover the filter area. If it is significantly lower and E08 appears, the inlet valve or flow meter may need replacement.
