• Power filter board: Some Hoover models use a separate EMI/power filter. Inspect it for burn marks or bulging components. Replace if damaged.
• Use surge protection: After repair, consider using a surge-protected outlet to protect the control electronics.
• Persistent E17: If the household supply is stable and wiring is sound, the main control board may have a faulty voltage sensing circuit and require replacement.
