Possible Causes
Dirty filters, Food residue in sump, Grease buildup in drain hose, Standing water in low spots
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before deep cleaning internal parts.
- Clean filters thoroughly: Remove all filter components and scrub with hot soapy water. Ensure mesh is fully clear.
- Clean sump and door seals: Wipe the sump area, door gasket, and corners of the tub with a cloth and mild cleaner to remove slime and residue.
- Flush drain hose: Detach the drain hose from the sink trap and flush with hot water and a mild degreaser to remove grease deposits.
- Run cleaning cycle: Run an empty hot cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar placed on the top rack.
Leave the door slightly ajar between uses to allow ventilation and prevent odours returning.
