Possible Causes
Door not fully closed, Faulty door lock switch, Defective Start button or touch panel, Child lock function enabled
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the door panel or control panel.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door is closing firmly and that racks or tall items are not obstructing the door.
- Child lock: Refer to the user manual to see if a key or lock symbol is lit. Disable the child lock by holding the specified buttons.
- Door lock switch: Remove the inner door panel to access the door lock assembly. Test the microswitch for continuity when the latch is engaged. Replace the door lock if the switch is faulty or the latch is worn.
- Start button / UI: If the door lock is good, the Start button or touch interface may be defective. Inspect the ribbon cable and connectors. Replace the user interface board if buttons do not register.
After repair, run a short program to confirm the dishwasher starts reliably.
