Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Iberna dishwasher or switch off the circuit breaker and close the water supply tap before working on it.
- Check water supply: Ensure the kitchen tap feeding the dishwasher is fully open and that household water pressure is normal. Try running a nearby tap to confirm good flow.
- Inspect inlet hose: Pull the dishwasher forward slightly, check that the inlet hose is not kinked or crushed behind the cabinet. Straighten any sharp bends.
- Clean inlet filter: Turn off the water tap, unscrew the inlet hose from the tap and from the dishwasher’s water inlet valve. At both ends, remove and rinse the small mesh filters under running water to clear limescale or debris, then reinstall.
- Check for leaks at the valve: With the machine pulled out, visually inspect the Iberna water inlet valve body for cracks or signs of burning. If the coil is open-circuit (test with a multimeter) or the valve is stuck closed, replace the valve assembly.
- Flow meter / pressure switch: On models with a flow meter or pressure switch in the base, check the wiring harness and connectors for corrosion. If the valve is working but the machine still reports E1, the flow meter or pressure switch may be faulty and should be tested and replaced if out of spec.
If E1 persists after these checks, contact a qualified technician to test live voltages at the inlet valve and control board.
