Possible Causes
Empty rinse aid dispenser, Faulty rinse aid dispenser solenoid, Defective fan or condensation drying system, Sensor misread in drying circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal panels.
- Check rinse aid level: Open the door and inspect the rinse aid dispenser. Refill with appropriate rinse aid if empty and reset any indicator.
- Inspect dispenser: Ensure the dispenser cap seals properly and is not cracked. If rinse aid leaks or does not dispense, the dispenser assembly may need replacement.
- Drying fan (if fitted): On models with an active drying fan, remove the inner door panel to access the fan. Check for obstructions, clean dust, and test the fan for free rotation. Replace if seized or not receiving power.
- Vent system: Ensure the door vent is not blocked by scale or debris. Clean the vent passages to allow steam to escape.
If E12 persists after these checks, the control board’s drying circuit or sensor may be faulty and require professional diagnosis.
