Possible Causes
Water leak into base tray, Stuck or faulty anti-flood float switch, Overfilling due to defective inlet valve, Blocked pressure chamber or hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap. Expect water in the base tray when E4 is present.
- Check for visible leaks: Pull the Iberna dishwasher out from under the counter. Inspect hoses, the circulation pump, drain pump, and door seal for drips or mineral trails.
- Empty the base tray: Tilt the dishwasher carefully backward about 45° over a towel to allow water in the base tray to drain out. This may temporarily clear E4 but does not fix the leak source.
- Inspect float switch: Remove the base panel to access the anti-flood float and microswitch. Ensure the float moves freely and is not stuck by grease or debris. Clean and dry the area thoroughly.
- Check overfilling causes: If no leak is found, the inlet valve may be sticking open or the pressure chamber/pressure hose may be blocked with grease, causing overfill. Remove and clean the pressure chamber and hose; replace the inlet valve if it allows water through when de-energized.
Do not continue using the dishwasher until the leak or overfill cause is identified and repaired.
