Possible Causes
Defective flow meter, Damaged wiring to flow meter, Blocked inlet chamber, Faulty control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Iberna dishwasher and close the water tap.
- Locate flow meter: On many Iberna models, the flow meter is integrated into the water inlet assembly or side water matrix. Remove the side panel to access it.
- Check for blockages: Inspect the water matrix or inlet chamber for heavy limescale or debris that could prevent the flow meter turbine from spinning. Clean thoroughly with warm water and a descaling solution if needed.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the small connector from the flow meter to the main harness is firmly seated and free of corrosion. Repair any damaged wires.
- Test flow meter: With a multimeter set to measure pulses or frequency (if available), gently blow water or air through the meter and check for output. If no pulses are detected, replace the flow meter assembly.
If the flow meter is confirmed good but E6 remains, the control board’s sensor input may be faulty and require replacement by a technician.
