Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness, Faulty control board temperature circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing internal components.
- Locate NTC sensor: The Iberna NTC is usually clipped into the sump or attached to the heater housing. Access it from the base or side panel.
- Check connection: Ensure the NTC plug is fully seated and free from corrosion or moisture. Dry and clean the connector if needed.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the NTC and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare with Iberna service specifications (commonly 10–50 kΩ at 20°C). An open circuit or near-zero resistance indicates a faulty sensor.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the harness from the NTC to the control board, checking for cuts, pinches, or burn marks. Repair or replace damaged sections.
- Replace NTC if faulty: If readings are out of range, install a new NTC sensor of the correct type for your Iberna model.
If E7 persists with a known-good NTC and wiring, the control board may need replacement.
