Possible Causes

Cracked heater housing, Leaking seals around heater, Internal leak in side heat exchanger, Corroded clamps or hoses

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap. Be prepared for water in the base tray.

  • Inspect for leaks: Pull the Iberna dishwasher out and remove side panels. Run a short cycle while observing the heater housing and side heat exchanger for drips.
  • Check heater housing: Look for hairline cracks, burn marks, or mineral trails around the flow-through heater and its seals. Replace the heater housing if any damage is found.
  • Examine hoses and clamps: Tighten or replace any loose or corroded hose clamps connected to the heater or heat exchanger. Replace swollen or brittle hoses.
  • Dry base and reset: After repair, dry the base tray completely and reset the anti-flood device (if triggered) by tilting the machine slightly to drain residual water.

If E9 returns after leak repair, the control board may still detect a heater fault and should be checked by a technician.
