Possible Causes

Use of hand dishwashing liquid, Too much detergent, Incompatible detergent type, Rinse aid overdose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power if water is leaking onto the floor.

  • Stop the cycle: Cancel the program and open the door carefully to assess foam level.
  • Remove foam: Scoop out excess foam and water with a container. Sprinkle a small amount of cooking oil or table salt into the tub to help break down suds.
  • Rinse cycle: Run a short rinse cycle with no detergent to flush remaining foam.
  • Use correct products: Only use dishwasher-specific tablets or powder and adjust rinse aid to a lower setting if foaming recurs.

No parts should need replacement unless over-sudsing has caused leaks that damaged the door gasket or base components.
