Possible Causes

Cracked sump, Loose hose clamp, Leaking circulation pump seal, Split inlet or drain hose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap immediately. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.

  • Pull out the unit: Carefully slide the dishwasher out of the cabinet to inspect the underside. Have towels ready.
  • Inspect while filling: With panels removed and power restored, run a short cycle and observe for drips from the sump, hoses, circulation pump, and inlet valve. Then disconnect power again.
  • Tighten and replace: Tighten any loose hose clamps. Replace any hoses that show cracks or bulges.
  • Sump and pump seals: If water is seeping from the joint between the sump and tub or from the pump shaft, replace the sump gasket or circulation pump as appropriate.
  • Test after repair: Reassemble and run a full cycle while monitoring for leaks before pushing the unit back into place.
