• Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and is not obstructed by dishes or racks. Listen for a positive click from the door lock.
• Inspect latch and strike: Examine the metal or plastic strike on the cabinet and the latch on the door for wear or bending. Adjust the strike position if the door is not engaging fully.
• Access door lock: Remove the inner door panel screws to expose the lock assembly. Check for broken plastic parts or signs of overheating.
• Electrical test: With the lock disconnected and the door closed (simulate closure carefully), test continuity across the switch terminals. Replace the door lock assembly if it does not close reliably.
• Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the lock to the control board for pinched or broken wires, especially where it passes through the door hinge area.
