How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the door control panel.
- Check for moisture: Inspect the front of the control panel for condensation or signs of water ingress from the top of the door. Dry the area thoroughly.
- Access UI board: Remove the inner door panel screws to expose the user interface (UI) board. Carefully disconnect the ribbon cable to the main board and inspect for corrosion or damage.
- Reseat connections: Clean and reseat the ribbon cable and connectors. Ensure the cable is not pinched when reassembling.
- Test operation: Restore power and test all buttons and display functions. If E15 returns or some keys do not respond, the UI board is likely defective.
- Replace UI board: Install a new Ilve control panel/UI assembly, transferring any seals or gaskets to prevent future moisture ingress.
