Possible Causes
Clogged sump filter, Partial blockage in drain hose, Food debris in drain pump impeller, Incorrect drain hose installation height causing backflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off and unplug the dishwasher before working inside the tub or on hoses.
Clean internal filters:
- Remove lower basket and take out all filter components in the base.
- Rinse under hot water and scrub away grease and food particles.
Check sump and pump:
- Use a torch to look into the sump opening; remove any visible debris.
- If accessible, remove the small pump cover and check the impeller area for obstructions.
Drain hose and installation:
- Ensure the drain hose rises in a loop to the underside of the worktop before going to the sink trap; this prevents backflow.
- Disconnect the hose at the sink trap and flush it through with hot water.
Run a rinse cycle to confirm that water now drains fully.
