Possible Causes
Blocked or failed flow meter in inlet assembly, Restricted inlet filter, Faulty water inlet valve, Wiring fault to flow sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off water and disconnect power before removing hoses or panels.
Check inlet filters and pressure:
- Clean the mesh filters at the tap and valve ends of the inlet hose.
- Confirm good water pressure at the tap by running water into a bucket.
Flow meter inspection:
- On many Indesit models, the flow meter is integrated into the inlet valve or side water matrix.
- Remove the side panel and locate the small sensor with wires attached to the water path.
- Check the connector is secure and free of corrosion.
Action:
- If the flow meter is physically damaged or the wiring is broken, replace the inlet/flow meter assembly.
- If water flow is weak due to limescale in the water matrix, consider replacing the matrix or descaling if possible.
