How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the sump or side matrix.

Locate the sensor:

  • On some Indesit models, a turbidity or optical sensor is mounted on the side of the sump or water matrix.
  • Remove the lower panel or side panel to access it.

Clean and inspect:

  • Remove the sensor and clean the optical window with a soft cloth and warm water to remove grease and limescale.
  • Check the O‑ring and reseat properly to avoid leaks.
  • Inspect the connector and wiring for damage.

If cleaning does not clear AL06, the sensor assembly may need replacement.
