Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate the appliance from mains power before removing side panels.
Locate the pressure system:
- On many Indesit dishwashers, the pressure switch is mounted on the side wall or base, connected to the sump via a small rubber hose.
- Remove the left or right side panel to access it.
Clean the pressure hose and chamber:
- Carefully pull off the small rubber tube from the pressure switch and sump.
- Blow through the tube; it should be clear. Rinse it under hot water if blocked.
- Use a thin cable tie or pipe cleaner to gently clear the pressure chamber spigot on the sump (do not puncture the plastic).
Check the switch and wiring:
- Inspect the switch connector for corrosion or loose pins.
- With a multimeter, you can gently blow into the switch and listen for clicks while checking continuity across the terminals (refer to service data for correct pins).
Reassemble:
- Refit the hose securely with no kinks and ensure it has a smooth rise from sump to switch.
- Refit side panel, restore power, and run a test cycle to confirm normal filling and draining.
If F06 persists after cleaning, the pressure switch assembly is likely defective and should be replaced.
