Possible Causes

Water leak into base tray activating float switch, Split sump or hose, Loose hose clamp on circulation or drain pump, Leaking door seal or inlet valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power and turn off the water supply. Be prepared for water when tilting the appliance.

Drain the base tray:

  • Carefully pull the dishwasher out from under the counter.
  • Gently tilt it backwards about 30–45° to allow water in the base tray to run out onto towels or a shallow tray.
  • Leave the machine tilted for several minutes to ensure the float switch drops back down.

Locate the leak:

  • Remove the lower front or side panels to inspect the base while running a short fill cycle (use caution around live parts; only a competent person should do live leak checks).
  • Look for drips from the sump, circulation pump seal, drain hose, inlet valve, or door gasket.

Common fixes:

  • Tighten loose hose clamps and replace any cracked hoses.
  • Replace a perished door gasket if water is seen leaking from the front.
  • If the plastic sump is cracked or the pump seal is leaking, replace the affected component.

Do not bypass the anti‑flood float switch; always correct the underlying leak before further use.
