Dishwasher makes loud grinding or rattling noises during the wash cycle.

• 1. Check spray arms: Ensure spray arms are not contacting tall dishes or racks. Rearrange dishes and test again.
• 2. Inspect sump: Remove filters and look into the sump for glass, bones, or hard objects. Use pliers or gloves to remove debris.
• 3. Access circulation pump: If noise persists, remove the lower access panel and inspect the circulation pump. Remove it from the sump and check the impeller for damage or foreign objects.
• 4. Replace noisy pump: If the pump bearings are worn (grinding noise even when clean), replace the circulation pump with an Insignia-compatible unit.
• 5. Verify mounting: Ensure the pump and hoses are securely mounted to minimize vibration.
