Possible Causes
Water leak into base pan, Stuck base float switch, Cracked sump or pump housing, Loose hose clamp
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and shut off water immediately.
- 1. Remove toe-kick panel: Take off the lower front panel and inspect the base pan with a flashlight.
- 2. Remove standing water: If water is present, soak it up with towels or a sponge until the base is completely dry. This may temporarily clear E15.
- 3. Identify leak source: With the base dry, restore power and water, then run a short cycle while observing underneath. Look for drips from the sump, circulation pump, drain pump, or hoses.
- 4. Tighten or replace components: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, or install a new sump or pump housing if leaking. Use Insignia-compatible parts.
- 5. Check base float switch: Ensure the anti-flood float in the base moves freely and is not stuck in the up position. Replace the switch if it remains triggered when the base is dry.
Because leaks can worsen over time, address the root cause promptly or contact a professional if you cannot locate the source.
