Possible Causes
Leaking door gasket, Cracked wash tank or weld, Loose pump or hose clamp, Faulty drain or fill fittings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and shut off water supply. Water in the base pan may contact live components.
- Access base pan: Remove front or side panels to inspect the base of the machine. Use towels or a wet/dry vacuum to remove standing water.
- Inspect leak sensor: Locate the float or conductivity-type leak sensor. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by debris. Dry and clean the sensor.
- Identify leak source: Run a brief fill cycle while observing with panels off (qualified personnel only). Look for drips from door gasket, pump seals, hose connections, or tank seams.
- Repair or replace leaking components: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, install a new door gasket if worn or torn, and replace pump seals if leaking at the shaft.
- Reset leak error: After fully drying the base and fixing leaks, reset the error per the service instructions and monitor for recurrence.
Do not ignore leak warnings; persistent leaks can cause severe electrical damage and corrosion.
