Possible Causes

Hard water supply without softening, Insufficient rinse aid, Incorrect detergent for water hardness, Booster heater overheating causing flash drying

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Use gloves when handling descaling chemicals.

  • Check water hardness: Test incoming water hardness. If above Jackson’s recommended range, install or service a water softener.
  • Adjust detergent and rinse aid: Work with your chemical supplier to match detergent type and concentration to water hardness. Increase rinse aid dosing to improve sheeting.
  • Descale machine: Run a descaling cycle using a manufacturer-approved descaler to remove existing mineral deposits from tank, booster, and spray arms.
  • Verify rinse temperature: Ensure final rinse temperature is within spec; excessively high temperatures can cause spotting.

After adjustments, run several racks and inspect glassware for improvement.
