Safety: Turn off power and support the door to prevent sudden movement while servicing hinges.

Inspect hinges: Remove the lower kick plate and observe the door hinges and springs on each side while slowly opening and closing the door.
Check cables: Many JennAir dishwashers use nylon cables attached to springs. Replace any frayed or broken cables and springs as a set on both sides.
Adjust tension (if applicable): Some models allow spring tension adjustment. Increase tension slightly if the door falls open too easily.
Test operation: After repair, the door should stay in a mid-open position without slamming or snapping shut.

Warning: Springs are under tension; use caution to avoid injury when removing or installing.
