Possible Causes
Low household water pressure, Partially clogged inlet valve, Kinked fill hose, Faulty water inlet valve coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water supply before disconnecting hoses.
- Check water pressure: Run water at the kitchen sink; weak flow may indicate a plumbing issue. Correct low pressure before servicing the dishwasher.
- Inspect fill hose: Remove the lower kick plate and verify the fill hose is not kinked or crushed behind the dishwasher.
- Clean inlet valve screen: Shut off water, disconnect the supply line at the inlet valve, and clean the screen filter as described for F4E1.
- Test fill: Restore water and power, then start a cycle and listen for water entering. If the valve hums but little water flows, replace the inlet valve.
- Control check: If the valve never energizes and wiring is intact, the main control board may not be sending power and may require replacement.
Tip: Ensure the hot water line to the dishwasher is dedicated and not shared with heavily used fixtures that could starve it of pressure.
