• Clean filters: Remove the lower rack and take out the coarse and fine filters in the bottom of the tub. Rinse thoroughly to remove food debris.
• Inspect drain hose routing: Ensure the hose has a high loop under the counter to prevent backflow and is not kinked or crushed.
• Check for partial clogs: Disconnect the hose at the sink/disposer and at the dishwasher end if accessible. Flush with hot water to clear grease and debris.
• Evaluate pump performance: If the pump runs but water drains slowly even with a clear hose, replace the drain pump.
