• 2. Inspect sump for debris: Remove filters and look for broken glass, bones, or other hard objects in the sump that could contact the pump impeller.
• 3. Listen to pumps: Run a cycle and identify whether the noise occurs during wash, drain, or both. A loud grinding during wash suggests circulation pump issues; during drain suggests drain pump issues.
• 4. Tighten hardware: Check mounting bolts for pumps, motors, and panels. Tighten any loose fasteners to reduce vibration.
• When to call a technician: If pump bearings are worn or the motor is excessively noisy, replacement of the pump assembly is required.
