Dishwasher will not fill with water; cycle starts then stops with E1 on display

Safety first: Disconnect power to the Jet Tech dishwasher at the breaker and close the water supply valve before working on the unit.

• 1. Verify water supply: Ensure the building water shutoff valve feeding the dishwasher is fully open. Check that other fixtures have normal water pressure.
• 2. Clean inlet filter screen: Pull the dishwasher forward if needed. Locate the water inlet solenoid valve where the supply hose connects. Turn off water, disconnect the hose, and remove any small mesh filter screen. Rinse debris under running water and reinstall.
• 3. Inspect inlet hose: Check for kinks, crushing, or sharp bends in the stainless or rubber supply hose. Straighten or replace if damaged.
• 4. Test fill operation: Restore water and power, run a short cycle, and listen for the valve clicking and water entering. If the valve hums but no water flows (and supply is confirmed), the solenoid valve is likely defective.
• 5. Check level sensor / pressure switch: If the tank partially fills then stops with E1, the water level pressure switch or electronic level sensor may be misreading. Inspect the small pressure hose for blockages or cracks and ensure it is firmly attached to the switch and sump.
• When to call a technician: If voltage is present at the inlet valve but it does not open, or if the level sensor tests out of specification, replacement should be done by a qualified technician.
