Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC temperature probe, Corroded NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness between NTC and control board, Faulty control board analog input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the unit to cool before accessing the tank or sump area.
- 1. Locate NTC sensor: On Jet Tech dishwashers, the NTC is typically mounted in the tank wall or sump housing. Remove any access panels as needed.
- 2. Inspect wiring: Check the sensor connector for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins. Dry and clean the connector, then reseat firmly.
- 3. Measure resistance: With the sensor disconnected, use a multimeter to measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to Jet Tech specifications; a reading of near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a failed sensor.
- 4. Check harness continuity: If the sensor tests good, check continuity from the sensor connector back to the control board plug to rule out a broken wire.
- 5. Control board check: If sensor and wiring are intact, the control board input circuit may be defective and require replacement.
- When to call a technician: Replacing the NTC or control board should be done by a qualified technician familiar with Jet Tech commercial dishwashers.
