Possible Causes
Defective rinse solenoid valve, Blocked rinse water line, Low rinse water supply pressure, Faulty control board output to rinse valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off electrical power and close the rinse water supply before servicing.
- 1. Verify rinse supply: Confirm that the dedicated rinse water line (if separate from fill) is open and has adequate pressure.
- 2. Inspect rinse valve filter: Locate the rinse solenoid valve on the rear or side of the machine. Remove the inlet hose and clean any mesh filter screen inside the valve.
- 3. Check tubing for kinks: Follow the rinse line from the valve to the rinse arms or booster. Straighten any kinks and ensure fittings are tight.
- 4. Test valve coil: With power off, measure the resistance of the rinse valve coil. An open circuit indicates a failed solenoid that must be replaced.
- 5. Control output: If the valve is good, verify that the control board sends voltage to the valve during the rinse phase. Lack of output suggests a control board fault.
- When to call a technician: If electrical testing is required or the control board is suspected, contact a qualified technician.
