Possible Causes
Empty rinse aid reservoir, Blocked rinse aid injector, Defective rinse aid dosing pump, Faulty wiring to rinse aid pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal dosing components.
- 1. Check rinse aid level: Open the rinse aid reservoir cap and ensure it is filled with the correct commercial rinse aid recommended by Jet Tech.
- 2. Inspect injector line: Trace the small tubing from the rinse aid pump to the injection point in the rinse line. Look for kinks, blockages, or air locks. Clear or replace tubing as needed.
- 3. Prime the pump: Some dosing pumps require priming. Follow the service manual procedure to manually run the pump until rinse aid flows steadily.
- 4. Test pump operation: During a rinse cycle, listen for the dosing pump clicking or running. If silent, check wiring connections and measure voltage at the pump terminals when it should be active.
- 5. Replace pump if failed: If the pump coil is open or the motor does not run with proper voltage, replace the rinse aid dosing pump.
- When to call a technician: If the control board is not triggering the pump or if you are unsure about electrical testing, seek professional service.
