Possible Causes
Stuck water inlet valve, blocked or failed pressure sensor (if equipped), siphoning through drain hose, main control misreading level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power and shut off water supply immediately to prevent flooding.
Check drain hose routing:
- Ensure the drain hose has a proper high loop or air gap to prevent siphoning.
Inspect inlet valve:
- With power off, disconnect the water inlet valve wiring. Turn water supply on briefly. If water still flows into the dishwasher, the valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
Check for debris in level sensing system:
- Some models use a pressure sensor or float. Inspect the float (if present) inside the tub to ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by debris or scale.
- Clean around the float and test its movement.
If problem persists:
- The pressure sensor or main control may be faulty and should be diagnosed by a professional.
