Possible Causes
Failed diverter motor, jammed diverter disc, wiring issue to diverter, water scale or debris in diverter assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power and water before pulling the dishwasher out.
Access diverter assembly:
- The diverter is typically mounted on the sump or circulation pump assembly.
- Remove the lower access panel and, if needed, slide the unit out to access the bottom.
Inspection:
- Check the diverter motor and wiring connector for damage or corrosion.
- Listen during operation: a clicking or grinding noise from the diverter area can indicate a jammed disc.
Corrective action:
- If debris is suspected, remove the diverter assembly (following service manual steps) and clean or replace it.
- If the motor does not run at all and wiring is good, replace the diverter motor/assembly.
