Possible Causes
Cracked sump assembly, Loose hose clamp, Split circulation pump hose, Leaking inlet valve connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and close the water supply. Mop up any standing water to prevent slipping.
- Pull out the dishwasher: Remove mounting screws and carefully slide the unit out from under the counter.
- Inspect while running: With the unit pulled out and panels removed, place towels underneath and run a short cycle while observing with a flashlight to locate the leak source.
- Check hoses and clamps: Tighten any loose hose clamps on the circulation pump, drain pump, and inlet valve. Replace any hoses that show cracks or bulges.
- Inspect sump assembly: Look for water seeping from the sump-to-tub gasket or cracks in the plastic sump. Replace the sump assembly if damaged.
Once the leak is repaired, dry the base pan completely before reinstalling the dishwasher.
