Possible Causes
Worn door gasket, Damaged bottom door seal, Misaligned door, Over-sudsing from wrong detergent
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and avoid standing in any pooled water while working.
- Check detergent use: Confirm you are using only automatic dishwasher detergent and not regular dish soap. Over-sudsing can cause leaks.
- Inspect door gasket: Open the door and examine the rubber gasket around the tub opening. Look for tears, flattening, or gaps. Clean it with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
- Check bottom seal: Inspect the bottom door seal (on the inner door edge). If it is cracked, warped, or missing sections, it should be replaced.
- Level the dishwasher: Use a level to ensure the dishwasher is not leaning forward. Adjust the front leveling legs so the unit is slightly tilted back to keep water inside.
If leaks persist after replacing seals and leveling, inspect the spray arms for cracks that could spray directly at the door.
