Possible Causes

Defective heater element, Faulty thermistor, Heater relay failure on PCB, Shorted heater wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before testing heater circuits.

  • Visual inspection: Access the underside of the dishwasher and inspect the heater element and wiring for burns or damage.
  • Test heater: Use a multimeter to measure resistance across the heater. Replace if open or shorted.
  • Check thermistor: Test the temperature sensor for proper resistance at room temperature and replace if out of spec.

If heater and thermistor are good, the main control board may have a failed heater relay and should be replaced by a professional.
