How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker immediately to prevent damage.
- Inspect heater and sump: Access the underside and check the heater element and sump for heavy scale or mineral buildup. Descale if necessary using dishwasher cleaner.
- Check thermistor: Test the temperature sensor for correct resistance. Replace if readings are incorrect.
If HE2 persists, the main control board heater relay may be stuck and the board should be replaced by a technician.
