Dishwasher displays nE; spray arms may not change position or wash coverage is poor.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and shut off water.

• Check spray arms: Ensure upper and lower spray arms spin freely and are not obstructed by dishes. Clean any clogged jets.
• Access diverter/vario motor: Remove the lower rack and spray arm, then remove the filter assembly to access the sump area. On many LG models, the vario motor / diverter is attached to the sump from below.
• Inspect for debris: From the bottom, remove the diverter cover and check for broken plastic pieces, glass, or debris jamming the diverter disk or gears. Clean thoroughly.
• Check vario motor connector: Ensure the motor wiring connector is secure and not corroded.

If nE persists after clearing obstructions, the vario motor / diverter assembly likely needs replacement.
