Possible Causes
Blocked drain filter, Clogged drain hose, Failed drain pump, Improper drain hose installation (siphoning)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the drain system.
- Clean filter and sump: Remove and clean the LG filter assembly and clear debris from the sump.
- Check hose routing: Ensure the drain hose has a high loop under the counter and is not lying flat, which can cause poor draining or backflow.
- Test drain pump: Run a cancel/drain cycle and listen for the pump. Replace the drain pump if it hums without pumping or is silent.
Persistent OE/E3 after clearing blockages usually indicates a failing drain pump.
