Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and close the water supply.
- Locate pressure sensor: On many LG models, the pressure sensor is mounted on the side of the sump or tub with a small rubber or plastic hose attached.
- Inspect pressure hose: Remove the hose from the sensor and check for clogs, kinks, or water trapped in the line. Blow gently through the hose to clear any blockage and ensure it is open.
- Check sensor connector: Inspect the electrical connector for corrosion or loose pins. Clean and reseat the connector.
- Reassemble and test: Reattach the hose securely, restore power and water, and run a short cycle to see if PE returns.
If PE persists, the pressure sensor itself is likely faulty and should be replaced. If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main control board may be defective.
