Possible Causes
Clogged wash arms or nozzles, Low wash temperature, Insufficient detergent dosing, Weak wash pump circulation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the machine to cool before removing wash arms or filters.
- Clean filters and sump: Remove all internal filters and strainers. Rinse under hot water and scrub off grease and debris. Clean the sump area of any buildup.
- Clean wash arms: Remove upper and lower wash arms. Use a brush or toothpick to clear each nozzle. Ensure arms rotate freely when reinstalled.
- Verify wash temperature: Check the displayed tank temperature during operation. If below Meiko’s recommended range, investigate heater and thermostat issues.
- Check detergent dosing: Confirm that the detergent container is not empty and that the dosing pump is primed and operating. Adjust dosing settings according to water hardness and soil level.
- Assess wash pump performance: Listen for weak or irregular pump noise. If circulation appears poor even after cleaning, the wash pump or impeller may be worn and require replacement.
