Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Corroded sensor connector, Faulty control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the tank to cool before removing any sensors.
- Locate the tank NTC: Find the temperature probe mounted in the wash tank wall or base. It typically has two wires leading to the control board.
- Measure sensor resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare with Meiko’s specified value. A reading of near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a failed sensor.
- Inspect wiring and connectors: Follow the harness from the sensor to the control board. Look for cuts, abrasions, or melted insulation. Clean any corroded connectors and ensure a tight fit.
- Replace NTC if faulty: If resistance is out of range or unstable when gently warmed, replace the temperature sensor with a Meiko-compatible part.
- Control board check: If a known-good sensor still triggers E11, the analog input on the control PCB may be defective. This requires professional board-level diagnosis or replacement.
- Test operation: After replacement, run a cycle and monitor displayed tank temperature for stability.
