Possible Causes
Loose data cable between boards, Damaged communication harness, Faulty user interface PCB, Defective main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dishwasher from mains power before opening the control compartment.
- Inspect communication cables: Locate the low-voltage data cables (often flat ribbon or multi-core) between the main control board and the display or peripheral modules. Ensure all connectors are fully seated.
- Check for damage: Look for pinched, cut, or burned cables, especially where they pass through metal panels. Replace any damaged harnesses.
- Clean connectors: Use contact cleaner on oxidized pins and reseat connectors firmly. Ensure correct orientation of keyed plugs.
- Module substitution: If available, swap the user interface PCB with a known-good unit to determine whether the fault follows the module.
- Main PCB assessment: If cabling and interface are good, the main control board may have a failed communication driver. Replacement should be performed by a Meiko-trained technician.
- Power up and test: After reassembly, restore power and check if E13 clears and the display responds normally.
