Possible Causes
Clogged rinse nozzles, Blocked rinse line filter, Faulty rinse pressure switch, Defective rinse booster pump (if fitted)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close water supply before opening rinse line components.
- Clean rinse arms and nozzles: Remove the upper and lower rinse arms. Use a small brush or toothpick to clear mineral deposits from each nozzle. Rinse thoroughly.
- Check rinse line filter: Locate any inline filter or strainer in the rinse supply to the machine. Remove and clean it to restore flow.
- Inspect booster pump (if present): For Meiko models with a rinse booster pump, check that the pump runs during rinse. Listen for abnormal noise and verify that it develops pressure. Replace if failed.
- Test rinse pressure switch: Access the pressure switch connected to the rinse line. Check for proper switching at specified pressures using a test gauge and multimeter. Replace if out of specification.
- Verify supply pressure: Ensure building rinse water pressure meets Meiko requirements. Low pressure can trigger E18 even with clean components.
