Possible Causes
Empty detergent container, Blocked detergent suction filter, Failed detergent dosing pump, Incorrect detergent concentration setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before servicing dosing equipment. Use appropriate PPE when handling detergents.
- Verify detergent supply: Ensure the external detergent drum is not empty and that the suction tube reaches the bottom. Refill with the correct commercial detergent recommended by Meiko.
- Clean suction filter and lines: Remove and clean the detergent suction filter. Flush the suction and discharge lines with warm water to remove crystallized detergent.
- Test detergent pump: Access the detergent dosing pump. Inspect for leaks, worn tubing, or a seized rotor. Measure electrical resistance of the motor or solenoid. Replace the pump if it fails electrical or mechanical tests.
- Check dosing settings: Enter the service menu (refer to Meiko documentation) and verify that detergent dosing time or concentration is set correctly for the water hardness and soil level.
- Prime the system: Use the priming function to ensure detergent is being drawn and injected into the wash tank. Observe the injection point for a steady flow.
- Monitor wash results: After adjustments, run several loads and check cleaning performance. If E9 persists, the control board output to the pump may require professional evaluation.
