Machine trips the circuit breaker or RCD when starting or during heating.

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Isolate the machine and verify absence of voltage before inspection.

• Inspect for visible damage: Look for burned wires, scorch marks, or melted insulation around heaters, pumps, and the control box.
• Test heater insulation: Use a megohmmeter to test insulation resistance between heater terminals and earth. Replace any heater with low insulation resistance.
• Check for water leaks: Identify and repair any leaks that may be dripping onto electrical components.
• Test motors: Measure insulation resistance of wash and drain pump motors. Replace motors with low insulation or signs of internal shorting.
• Inspect wiring harness: Repair or replace any damaged cables, especially where they pass through metal panels.
