• Check water softener (if fitted): Ensure the integrated or external softener has sufficient salt and is regenerating correctly. Refill salt and initiate a manual regeneration if needed.
• Verify bypass settings: Confirm that any bypass valves around the softener are correctly set so that all feed water passes through the softener.
• Adjust detergent and rinse aid: Increase dosing slightly for hard water conditions, following Meiko’s recommendations.
• Descale the machine: Run a descaling program or an empty cycle with a Meiko-approved descaler to remove existing limescale from the tank, heaters, and spray arms.
• Monitor water hardness: Test incoming water hardness and adjust softener settings accordingly to prevent recurrence.
