Possible Causes
Open-circuit water inlet valve coil, Loose wiring at inlet valve connector, Faulty electronic control board output to valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap before accessing internal components.
- Access valve: Remove the left or right side panel (depending on model) to access the water inlet valve or Aquastop module.
- Check wiring: Inspect the connector to the valve for corrosion, loose pins, or damaged wires. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Measure coil: Using a multimeter, measure resistance across the valve coil. A reading of open circuit (infinite resistance) indicates a failed valve.
- Replace if faulty: If the coil is open or visibly damaged, replace the inlet valve assembly. If the valve tests good but F12 persists, the main control board may have a defective relay or triac and should be evaluated by a technician.
